Happiest of Birthdays! {WSC360}

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

It’s time for a new MFT Sketch Challenge, this sketch is SUPER fun!

Print

I had SO MUCH FUN creating this card! I started with a piece of Yupo Paper and cut it using the Stitched Mod Rectangle STAX Die-namics (LOVE). I created the background using Alcohol Inks, which are SO FUN to create with!

I cut two strips of Silver Sparkle Card Stock and popped them up using Foam Tape. I then cut a panel of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics. I stamped “HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS” from More Essential Sentiments using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed the sentiment using White Detail Embossing Powder. I finished off the card with a trio of black enamel dots.

Grateful To Have You In My Life! {CTD470}

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

It’s time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge, and this week, Wanda has challenged us to use the combination of yellow, orange, red and brown! GORGEOUS combo!

Print

For my card, I began with a panel of Kraft Card Stock cut using the A2 Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics, and I stamped the leaves from Geometric Greenery using Versamark Ink. I embossed the leaves using Gold Embossing Powder and then loosely watercolored them using my Zig Clean Color Markers.

I cut a panel of Milk Chocolate Prestige Card Stock using the new Linked Chain Circle Frames Die-namics, and then added a die cut “grateful” cut using the Grateful For You Die-namics from Gold Sparkle Card Stock. I then cut a panel of Cherry Crisp Prestige Card Stock using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics, and I stamped “to have you in my life” from Grateful For You using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed the sentiment using Gold Embossing Powder.

Yeti Or Not!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! TGIF, SERIOUSLY.

Today I have a card to share with you using some Neat & Tangled goodies that I got last weekend when I took a class at The Ink Pad. It was SO FUN!

Yeti Or Not

So, yeah. I have a bit of a Neat & Tangled obsession after this weekend. That Cheiron is SUCH an enabler. This card was SUPER fun to make! I started with a panel of Smooth White Card Stock, cut using the Scalloped Nice & Neat Dies, and I sponged on Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide Ink and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink. I am seriously obsessed with Distress Oxide Inks. I then embossed the panel with the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Gemstone Embossing Folder (which, by the way, I got AGES ago from Vanessa and just opened and used). I LOVE it. If you are wondering if you need this, let me assure you. You do. After embossing the panel, I watered down some Gansai Tambi Pearl Watercolors and splattered them on the panel.

I used the DARLING Get Yeti Nice & Neat Dies to cut out the yet, pup, snowman, penguin and bird from X-Press It Blending Card, and then stamped them with Get Yeti using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. I colored them all with Copic Markers and then popped them up onto the embossed panel. I added shimmer to the “Yeti or Not” flag and the puppy’s scarf using a Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker. The sentiment banner (I LOVE the curve of this!) was cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Scalloped Nice & Neat Dies and I stamped “Christmas Time Again” (omitting the “It’s” from the sentiment) and then added the little birdie.

When It’s Dark, Look For The Stars! {WSC359}

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

It’s time for a new MFT Sketch Challenge, and this week, we have a great sketch for you!

Print

I had a BLAST creating my card today! I started with a panel of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock cut using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics, and I sponged on Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink, Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink, Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink, Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink. I then sponged Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink all over the panel, covering the other ink colors, and then spritzed the panel with water and watched the magic of Distress Oxides happen! Gosh, that never gets old! I spritzed on some Gansai Tambi Pearl Watercolors for a bit of shimmer.

The frame was cut from Pure Plum Prestige Card Stock using the Stitched Square Frames Die-namics, and I sponged the edges lightly with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink to soften it a bit. The sentiment panel was cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics, and I stamped “WHEN IT’S DARK, LOOK FOR THE” from Written In the Stars using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. I cut “STARS” from Silver Sparkle Card Stock using the Shining Stars Die-namics, and then added it to the frame. I finished off the card with a trio of black rhinestones.

Peace & Joy! {CTD469}

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

It’s time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge, and this week, Vickie has challenged us to use blue, light blue and silver! GORGEOUS combo!

Print

These colors just scream winter to me, and I created a wintery card with lots of snowflakes! I began with a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics. I added a strip of Silver Sparkle Card Stock to the side, and then a strip of patterned paper from the Rainbow Stripes Paper Pack.

I cut a circle panel from Smooth White Card Stock using the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics, and stamped “Peace & Joy” from Handwritten Holiday using Cornflower Premium Dye Ink. I cut the snowflakes using the Layered Snowflakes Die-namics from Silver Sparkle Card Stock, Cornflower Prestige Card Stock and Blue Breeze Prestige Card Stock. I added the snowflakes around the sentiment panel, and I then finished off the card with a trio of enamel dots.

November MFT Release Replay!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!

It’s time for the November MFT Release Replay! The incredible November Release is available right HERE in the MFT Boutique, and today, the MFT Design Team is sharing even more inspiration using these amazing new goodies!

Print

This card was SO fun to create! I began with a panel of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock cut using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics. I then stamped the GORGEOUS new Mesmerizing Mandala Background using Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. I then watercolored the mandala using Gansai Tambi Pearl Colors Watercolors, and then rubbed the panel to soften the colors. Doing this gave a beautiful shimmer to the rest of the card!

I used the new Peace Die-namics to cut Smooth White Card Stock, and I cut “PEACE” out three times. I layered the panels together to create a thick die-cut, and then attached them to the card. I cut “joy” from Silver Sparkle Card Stock using the Joy Die-namics, and then added that on top of PEACE. I finished off the card with a trio of rhinestones.

A Thrill Of Hope!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending a class with the insanely talented Cheiron Brandon at The Ink Pad NYC. It was SO.MUCH.FUN. I got to meet Danielle from Neat and Tangled (what a doll!) and I instantly became obsessed with Neat and Tangled (and when I say obsessed, I mean I spent a TON on Neat and Tangled goodies and then ordered even more on the train ride home!

My girls LOVED all of the goodies I brought home, and they spent all day Sunday stamping. I, on the other hand, did a clean up/out of my stamp room, but I did make time to create one quick card!

Thrill Of Hope Closeup

I began with a panel of black card stock, and I used the gorgeous Radiating Star Stencil, along with Silvery Shimmer Delicata Ink (LOVE) and sponged on the ink. I LOVE how shimmery this is IRL. I then stamped this GORGEOUS sentiment from the Joyful Sentiments set (I have been singing this song ALL DAY), using Versamark Ink. I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder, and then finished off the card with a trio of rhinestones.
